Lailokens Awen Wiccan Altar Candle Set - Two 4 1/4" Beeswax Pillar Candles, one White one Black

Welcome to Lailokens Awen. This listing is for my Wiccan Altar Candle Set. The set includes two 4 1/4" tall pillar candles, one white and one black, which are made with beeswax and natural dyes, and is anointed with 100% organic essential oils.

The candles can be used as general Wiccan altar candles as they are white and black, and are anointed with my general use Altar Anointing Oil. Traditionally, the black candle is placed on the left-hand side of the altar, and the white on the right-hand side.

I hand make and roll all my candles, starting out with large sheets of real beeswax. These as well as the wicks I cut to size. Then I anoint the beeswax with the appropriate anointing oil. Once they are ready, I gently heat the wax which allows me to roll the beeswax around the wick. I heat again, and roll the entire sheet of beeswax, and now I have a candle. One more application of heat, and I seal the outer edge of the candle. I give the candles 24 hours to fully harden, and then I apply the labels.

I take great care in imbuing the Wiccan Altar Candles with as much energy as I can, so I make them in purified ritual space and incorporate many energetic correspondences when making them. The colour white is the colour of the God, masculine energy, projecting, etc., and black the colour of the Goddess, feminine energy, receiving, etc. The essential oils I use have traditional uses for generating power and spiritual energy. Their proportions are also important to the success of the spell or ritual. I make the candles and the anointing oil only on the day and in the hour of the Moon, which would be the 1st or 8th daylight hour, or the 3rd or 10th evening hour on Mondays.

Slight variations in colour may occur between batches.

Please note that these candles are anointed with essential oils, and not fragranced with them, so it will not fill up the space with scent.

The candles can be used to create wax seals on letters, scrolls, bottles, charm bags, etc.

The beeswax is propolis free to reduce the possibility of inducing allergic reactions and/or sensitivity to the main aromatic chemical group caffeic acid esters, which is largely responsible for the 'typical' beeswax scent. The candles are relatively scent-free as a result, although a slight balsamic-like scent can remain in different batches.
